sian bush

Sian is a multi-disciplinary artist. She takes her inspiration from the natural world and the landscapes that surround us. Most recently, she has been creating work from clay, dry flowers and plants, and print.

For me, art is escapism through creativity.

Maker’s bio

Sian is a Cornish artist who has been lucky enough, as she puts it, to live and study in Cornwall. She completed a degree in Fine Arts at Falmouth School of Art, and is a qualified arts teacher. She has recently begun a small dry flower arrangement and wreath-making project. She has exhibited locally and received a high level of interest through commissions and social media.

Alongside this, she continues to develop her ceramics practice and is focusing on producing a range of tableware informed by foraging on the moorlands where she lives. Previous to this, she has produced work through a range of media, including darkroom photography, glass fusion, print, film and stop motion animation. Her work has been exhibited in local venues, shops, online and in a London-based exhibition. Her art is inspired by the local landscapes, and she expresses her love for the natural environment through her work, as she seeks to ‘communicate the beauty within the everyday’.
