Maker’s bio
Shari is an experienced artist and tutor who has been teaching watercolour and developing her work over many years. She was immersed in painting from an early age, as her mother is also an artist. She is a member of the Drawn to the Valley group of artists based in the Tamar Valley. Shari teaches a variety of watercolour classes and workshops in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset, demonstrates for art groups, and has published contributions in several books.
Shari loves the spontaneous, flowing and translucent qualities of watercolour, in particular utilising wet-into-wet techniques. She also works in mixed media – collage and inks – and in ceramics. Her ceramic work is hand-built, hand-painted and kiln-fired.
