Maker’s bio

Lorna graduated from Plymouth College of Art in 2019, after completing a degree in Surface Pattern Design. She has a love of colour and pattern and likes to disregard the traditional rules of design. Lorna is inspired by the natural world and through being with other people.

Lorna loves to facilitate space in her studio for others to experiment with techniques and patterns in her specialised workshops.

Lorna uses her studio space to create her own commissioned work and to facilitate printing workshops. She offers a range of workshops including screen printing, lino cutting and gelli plate printing, using specialist inks and materials. As well as printing, Lorna runs workshops in simple marbling techniques, mark making, clay tiles and collaging. These workshops allow participants to experiment with colour and patterns and create their own unique, abstract print. Lorna’s studio is a relaxing, stress-free environment. Individuals can make friends and enjoy time and space to discover their own creativity and have some fun.
